In 1983, Miranda Kerr was born in Sydney and raised in the small town of Gunnedah, New South Wales. At age 13, she entered and won the 1997 annual Dolly Magazine/Impulse Model Competition.
Ten years later she became the first Australian model to be offered a contract with Victoria's Secret, replacing Gisele Bündchen.
Upon her acceptance, Kerr became a Victoria's Secret Angel, joining Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolína Kurková, Adriana Lima, Selita Ebanks, Izabel Goulart, and Heidi Klum.
In 2010, Miranda appeared in the Pirelli Calendar photographed by Terry Richardson. At the end of 2010 she modeled for Prada and Jil Sander, and was shot by Steven Meisel for the cover of Italian Vogue.
In January 2011, Miranda became the first pregnant model for Vogue and was featured in Vogue Australia.
Later in 2011 she appeared on the catwalk for Balenciaga's Ready-to-Wear collection as part of Paris Fashion Week. She was also chosen to wear the $2.5 million Victoria's Secret Fantasy Treasure Bra for their fashion show in November 2011.
In early February 2010, Miranda inadvertently became the subject of global headlines when David Kiely, a banker in Sydney, was caught viewing explicit photos of her on his computer while his colleagues were on live television.
Miranda Kerr began dating actor Orlando Bloom in late 2007. The couple's engagement was announced in June of 2010.
In July, Kerr confirming that she and Bloom had married in “an intimate ceremony.”
In 2011, Miranda gave birth to their first child, a son named Flynn Christopher Blanchard Copeland Bloom.
