More than a beach it is a plane-spotting paradise in West Indies. Being located adjacent to the Princess Juliana International Airport, the sunbathers at Maho Becah experience regular disturbance due to low-flying aircrafts.
With runway length as short as 2,180 meters, we can see the incoming aircrafts almost gliding at the opening end of runway whereas at the time of take off a jet blast can knock you away if you have not find a safe corner for yourself. The beach has “Warning Signs” depicting risk of injury and possible death due to strong winds. So go at your own risk.
