Hurricane Katrina was the 10th biggest Atlantic tropical cyclone of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season. The wind speed was 280 km/hour.
It was the costliest natural disaster, as well as one of the five deadliest hurricanes, in the history of the USA, killing more than 1,833 people.
