Damascus: Syria's deputy foreign minister has said his country would never give in, even if World War III erupts.
In an interview to a French news agency, deputy foreign minister Faisal Muqdad said his country has taken "every measure" to retaliate if it is hit by a US-led missile strike.
"The Syrian government will not change position even if there is World War III. No Syrian can sacrifice the independence of his country," he added.
