New Delhi: Passport of any country is considered to be amongst one of the most powerful document and is also an indicator of a country's competence to the amount of travel freedom that the citizen of that country enjoy.
A ranking system developed by Arton Capital,has rated the passports of United States of America (USA) and United Kingdom (UK) as the most powerful passports in the world.
India was ranked a distant 59th positon since its passport holders can visit only 59 countries without visa or by getting visa on arrival.
The firm decided the rankings on the basis of the number of countries a particular passport holder of a country without a visa or visa on arrival. It created the ranking according to a term applied 'Visa Free Score'.
France, Germany and South Korea are ranked number 2 according to the passport index. While China is ranked 45th, Pakistan is ranked 71st and Bangladesh 67th. Myanmar, the Palestinian territories and South Sudan languish at the bottom of the ranking system.
