Islamabad: At least 10 militants, including two Uzbeks, were killed today in a US drone attack in Pakistan's North Waziristan tribal region, officials said.
The pilotless CIA-operated spy plane attacked a compound in Alwara Mandi area near Datta Khel town.
A security official said that 10 militants were killed. The identity of those killed was not known immediately.
Drone strikes in Pakistan resumed in June after a gap of six months when two successive drone strikes on June 11 reportedly killed around 16 people in Miranshah.
A similar drone strike in the Datta Khel area on August 6 left six people dead.
Pakistan launched an operation in North Waziristan in June and the military says it has killed more than 1,000 militants so far.
