New Delhi: People have been predicting the end of the world for thousands of years. There are stories around that this world runs on yuga system , and as per lifecycle there are four yugas, now we are living in kalyug ,which is the last yuga of lifecycle on earth.
Three others were Satyuga, Dwapar yuga, Treta yuga. Hindu texts say, every Yuga has an end after which the next yuga starts.
Thus the end of Kalyuga has been predicted off and on several times, and most of the times the predictions have fallen flat in the face of scientific reasoning.
