Thousands come out in Ireland to protest death of pregnant Indian woman

Dublin, Nov 16: Thousands of protesters came out on Wednesday outside Ireland's parliament  to demand easing of tough abortion rules after  pregnant Indian woman Savita  died after being repeatedly denied abortion in an Irish hospital.

Dublin, Nov 16: Thousands of protesters came out on Wednesday outside Ireland's parliament  to demand easing of tough abortion rules after  pregnant Indian woman Savita  died after being repeatedly denied abortion in an Irish hospital.


 

Savita Halappanavar, 31, died in  University Hospital Galway in western Ireland last month,  due to septicaemia a week after miscarrying 17 weeks into her pregnancy.
