New Delhi: Enraged over Pakistani government executing two terrorists, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), terror outfit responsible for Peshawar massacre, has now threatened to eliminate children of politicians and Army officers.

The warning came in the form of a letter written by Mohammed Kharasani, according to a report published in Times of India. Kharasani is believed to be a top commander of Tehrik-e-Taliban chief Mullah Fazlullah.

The letter, which was received by Pakistani authorities on Friday evening, stated that if the Pakistan government keeps its commitment to hang militants, TTP will target family of top politicians, including Premier Nawaz Sharif, and Army officers.

The letter further justified the killing of innocent children saying the kids were committed to following in the footsteps of their parents.

It stated that if any incarcerated terrorist is killed, TTP will take revenge by killing more children.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani authorities said that they were trying to verify if the letter was genuine.

Pakistani authorities yesterday executed two men convicted for attacks on the Army headquarters and former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, days after Pakistan lifted its moratorium on the death penalty. The two were among 17 terrorists who would be executed in the first phase after the end of self-imposed moratorium by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the wake of Tuesday's Peshawar school massacre.
