Kabul, Nov 6: Afghan officials say a suicide bomber detonated his vest as worshippers were exiting a mosque in the country's northern Baghlan province, killing at least six people including two local police commanders.
Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai, the spokesman for the regional police commander in the north, said the bomber set off his explosives as worshippers were congratulating each other after the Eid al-Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice, prayers early Sunday morning.
Kamen Khan, the police chief in Old Baghlan city, says those killed included a well-known police commander named Abdul and another local police commander.
At least 20 people were also wounded.
