According to a report published in Daily Mail, the incident was brought to light by campaigner Shaista Gohir. She is a Muslim and works as a women's rights activist.
Gohir claimed that the gangs of Asian men are grooming underage Muslim girls within their own communities as well as white girls to ply them with drinks and drugs while promising marriage
