Riyadh: Saudi Arabia today beheaded a Pakistani national, Ismail Khan Sayed, held on charge of smuggling heroin in the eastern province, state media reported.
He was the 12th Pakistani national to be executed in Saudi Arabia for drug smuggling since mid-October this year.
A total of 85 foreigners and Saudi nationals have been executed so far this year on different charges.
Saudi Arabia has the highest rate of executions among countries of the world.
