Kuala Lumpur: Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai has said that a preliminary report on the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 that was shot down in Ukraine in July would be released this month.
On July 17, the Boeing 777 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down in eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board, Xinhua reported.
It is important to provide a guide for a more detailed investigation to find out the cause of the crash, Liow said Wednesday night.
"There will only be one report that is from the investigation committee which Malaysia is a part of, and no other reports will be issued from any other country that is involved," Liow said.
Liow also said the remains of another Malaysian victim has been identified by the investigation committee, which has identified 33 Malaysian victims so far.
