New Delhi: Along with many SAARC Heads of Governments and States, Mauritius Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam will be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister on May 26.
India has received a confirmation of participation from Ramgoolam to attend the ceremony, the Spokesperson in the Ministry of External Affairs said.
The government has so far received response from SAARC nations, barring Pakistan, about their leaders attending the ceremony.
Leaders who have sent their confirmations to attend the ceremony at the forecourt of the historic Rashtrapati Bhavan here are - Sri Lankan President President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, Nepal Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Maldivian President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Bangladesh will be represented by Speaker Shirin Chaudhury as Premier Sheikh Hasina is travelling to Japan at the time of Modi's swearing-in ceremony.
