New York: In an apparent slip of tongue, President Barack Obama referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as president in the middle of a statement he made at the end of their meeting on Monday.
In the video of his remarks posted on the White House website, Obama can be heard saying, "We are encouraged by the aggressive nature of President Modi's commitment to clean energy."
The slip was recorded in the first White House transcript of his remarks.

Later, the White House reissued the transcript correcting "president" to "prime minister".
That little slip, however, did not to dampen the after-party of another hugely successful foreign visit by Modi as he wrapped up his trip to the US which saw a warm hug for Obama, rendezvous with CEOs of Silicon valley and exceptional speech at San Jose that won over the Indian diaspora.
