Islamabad: Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday rejected pardon pleas of three death row inmates, media reported.

According to details, the death warrants of three inmates had already been issued and, after the rejection of their pleas, now they will be hanged in Multan and Adiala Jails, The News International reported.

Two of the three convicts, Ahmed Ali and Ghulam Shabbir would be executed in Multan Central Jail Jan 7, while another convict Zulfiqar Ahmed will be hanged Jan 13 in Adiala Jail.

In December 2014, the Pakistan government ended its moratorium on the death penalty in terror-related cases, following a terrorist attack on an army run Peshawar school in the same month in which 150 people, including 140 school children and teachers, were killed.

Seven convicts have been hanged so far in Pakistan after the death penalty moratorium was lifted by the Nawaz Sharif government.
