Islamabad: Pakistan's Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that increase in demand for petrol has led to its shortage and it would end in a few days.
"Increase in demand for petrol led to its shortage," Radio Pakistan quoted Abbasi as saying on Tuesday.
"The demand for petrol increased by 30 percent in the current month mainly because of reduction in its prices," he said.
The supply of petrol has been increased to all the major cities. The situation will improve further with the arrival of two oil containers at Karachi port next week.
The minister said the petrol prices would be further reduced the next month.
