Peshawar: The death toll in the brutal Taliban attack on a school run by Pakistan army here rose to 150 today with two more children succumbing to their injuries.
One of the injured students, Ibrar Zahid, who was hospitalised in the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here after the school massacre, succumbed to injuries today, taking the number of children fallen to the bullets of Taliban militants to 134.
Another severely injured student died two days back during treatment.
The attack on the Army Public School on Warsak Road on December 16 was the most gruesome militant assault in Pakistan's history, bringing international condemnation and outrage.
At least six Pakistani Taliban gunmen had stormed the school and went from room to room shooting indiscriminately.
The TTP claimed the attack as revenge for an army operation in the north, saying they wanted the army to "feel the pain" they had felt at losing loved ones.
