Lahore, March 27: Latif Khosa, the governor of Pakistan's Punjab province, has said he is keen to go to Mohali to watch the India-Pakistan semi-final of the cricket World Cup.

"I am a cricket lover and I would like to go to Mohali to watch the thrilling encounter between Pakistan and India," Khosa told reporters here last night.

Khosa, a senior leader of the ruling Pakistan People's Party, was quick to add that he could travel to India only "with the permission of his party co-chairman, President Asif Ali Zardari".

"I will express my desire to the party's leadership and will act on their advice," he said.

At the start of the World Cup, Khosa played a cricket match with leaders of his party and prayed for the success of the Pakistani team.

Pakistan premier Yousuf Raza Gilani today accepted his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh's invitation to watch the semi-final on March 30.  PTI
