Concerns over the daily twists in the controversy relating to Pak cricketer Shoaib Malik's dispute with his supposedly first wife Ayesha Siddiqui has dampened expectations of Pakistani businessmen who were aiming to make a quick kill by flooding the markets with Sania-Shoaib T-shirts.The controversy has led to cancellation of bulk orders for T-shirts depicting Sania and Shoaib, traders said.
Chairman Karachi Traders Action Committee Siddiq Memon told Geo News that after the announcement of the wedding of Shoaib and Sania, their fans and buyers had delivered huge orders for special T-shirts, with pictures of both stars on them, in Thailand and China.
However, a dramatic change has occurred due to the legal war started by Ayesha Siddiqui against Shoaib Malik. All orders have been cancelled under a policy of not taking any risk, said Memon, though the wedding is yet to be called off.
