Jeddah: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed concern over the communal violence in Muzaffarnagar and has urged India to restore peace, protect the lives, property and places of worship, and bring the perpetrators of violence to justic.
A spokesperson for OIC sectetary general Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said OIC is willing to lend its support to restore peace and harmony between Hindus and Muslims in India.
Communal tension may spread to other regions of India if the issue is not addressed properly, said the spokesperson.
