Washington: US President Barack Obama has promised to tackle economic inequality in his annual State of the Union address.
Jobs and “opportunity” are the key prongs of Obama's promise.
He unveiled an executive order to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 (£6.10) an hour for new federal contract workers.
During his annual State of the Union address,Obama said “Let's make this a year of action,”.
“America does not stand still - and neither will I, he said, adding, “So wherever and whenever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families.”
