Washington: US President Barack Obama greeted the Muslim community across the world on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Obama said that the festival celebrates the common values that unite humanity and reinforces the obligations that people of all faiths have to each other.
"As Muslims throughout United States and around the world celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, Michelle and I extend our warmest wishes," the US President said.
"While Eid marks the completion of Ramazan, it also celebrates the common values that unite us in our humanity and reinforces the obligations that people of all faiths have to each other, especially those impacted by poverty, conflict, and disease," the US President added.
In US, Obama said, Eid also reminds the achievements and contributions of Muslims in strengthening nation's core of democracy.
"On behalf of the administration, we wish Muslims in United States and around the world a blessed and joyous celebration. Eid Mubarak," the said US President.
