Pamplona, Spain, Jul 14 : Hundreds of peopled tested their bravery and speed by dashing ahead of six fighting bulls in a fast and clean final running of the bulls at this year's San Fermin festival in northern Spain.
Spanish Red Cross spokesman Jose Aldaba said three people were hospitalized for injuries sustained in falls during the race but there were no gorings.
The 928-yard (850-meter) dash from a pen to the city's bull ring lasted 2 minutes, 20 seconds.The bulls and their six guiding steer remained in a pack and produced few scares among runners.
The 8 a.m. runs are the main feature of the nine-day festival made famous by Ernest Hemingway's 1926 novel "The Sun Also Rises." It draw hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. AP
