Islamabad Jul 4: Trucks carrying NATO troop supplies are expected to resume trips to Afghanistan following Pakistan's decision to end a seven-month blockade.

Islamabad agreed to lift the ban Tuesday after the U.S. said it was sorry for American airstrikes that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers in November.

U.S. officials have said they expect supply trucks to begin crossing into Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Pakistani border officials and drivers said they were still waiting for official approval for the crossing.

Final approval may follow a Cabinet meeting later in the day.
