Lahore: Jamaat-ud-Dawah chief and 26/11 Mumbai attacks mastermind Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has said, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will prove to be India's Gorbachev.
Addressing a huge congregation near Minar-e-Pakistan at Minto Park here on Friday, Hafiz Saeed alleged that the BJP was employing "tactics" to win the Assembly polls in Kashmir, but this would not succeed.
Hafiz Saeed's comments come in the wake of highest voters turnout in the Kashmir valley in recent decades, touching as high as 73 per cent.
Here are a few more gems from Hafiz Muhammad Saeed's Friday speech:
--If India can send its troops to Afghanistan, Mujahideen have the right to enter Kashmir to help liberate their brethren.
--Nawaz Sharif must hold a frank talk with Narendra Modi over Kashmir issue, and if the latter refuses, then Sharif should side with pro-Pakistani separatist leaders like Ali Shah Geelani, Moulvi Omer Farooq, Yasin Malik and Aasiya Indrabi.
--All Islamic countries should form an Islamic Union like the European Union, should have a common currency, should sign mutual defence pacts, have a common army and a supra-national court of justice, if US, India, Israel and their allies control their natural resources.
--Sharif must put an end to interest-based economic system in Pakistan, and declare that only the principal amount would be returned to international lenders like IMF, World Bank.
--Daish (Islamic State) should fight against Israel, purging the Arab world of US influence, instead of wasting its energies in Iraq and Syria against their Muslim brothers.
--Those who defeated Soviet Union in Afghanistan (like Pakistan Taliban) should stop playing havoc in Islamic countries by issuing fatwa against Muslim governments and armies, and should go to Kashmir to fight.
--India and Israel have reached a secret understanding to weaken Pakistan, and are conspiring against Pakistan's nuclear weapons programme.
--Politicians (like Imran, etc) can't bring revolutions by taking to the streets, but religious (read jihadi) leaders can bring revolutionary changes.
--Holy Quran and the Sunnah should be officially recognized as the supreme sources of law and judiciary in Pakistan, and the bureaucracy should be reformed accordingly.
--There is nothing in common between Hindus and Muslims. Pakistan must avenge the 1971 defeat that led to separation of Bangladesh.
--Jamaat ud Dawah will try to transform Pakistan into a model Islamic state on the pattern of Medina.
