New Delhi: Indian and Israeli officials are trying to schedule a possible meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, sources said.
This will be the first top-level meeting between India and Israel since the Gaza crisis, during which India had taken an equidistant stance between Israel and Palestine.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will also meet the Israeli foreign minister on October 1 for a bilateral meeting.
Modi had visited Israel when he was the chief minister of Gujarat.
