Tomb of Jahangir, Pakistan
Located in Lahore, Pakistan, Tomb of Jahangir is a mausoleum of Mughal Emperor Jahangir built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1627 AD.
The mausoleum is a one floor building and consists of a platform with a tall, octagonal tower and a projecting entrance in the middle of each side.
Built with white marble, Indian Redstone and bricks the building is divided into a series of vaulted compartments.
While the interior of the mausoleum is an elevated sarcophagus of white marble, the sides of which are wrought with flowers of mosaic similar to that of Taj Mahal in Agra, it is also embroidered with floral frescoes with delicate inlay work and marble of various colors.
