Islamabad, Dec 27: A peasant was tortured and his eyes gouged out by a group of men in Pakistan's Punjab province, a media report said Thursday.
An old enmity led to the incident in Muzaffargarh district, Geo News reported.
Police said that a case had been registered against eight people and three of the accused have been arrested.
Ghulam Fareed and his seven accomplices entered Bilal's house around 10 p.m. Wednesday and forcibly took him away.
They subjected Bilal to torture and gouged out his eyes.
Bilal has been taken to Multan's Nishtar Hospital for treatment.
