8. Britain's Prince Charles and Princess Diana
No such list is complete without mention of Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
Diana, who had fairytale wedding with Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, separated from her husband, after she learnt of Charles' infatuation with Camilla Parker Bowles, whom he eventually married after Diana's unfortunate death in a car mishap.
Diana had affairs with her alleged lover James Gilbey who called her Squidgy, and with James Hewitt, her former riding instructor.
At the time of her death, she was involved with Dodi Al Fayed, son of a billionaire. Both of them perished in the car mishap.
9. Prince Haakon of Norway
Norway's Crown Prince Haakon married Mette-Marit Tjessem Hoiby in August 2001.
There were media reports that Hoiby had a child out of wedlock with a convicted drug dealer.
Before her wedding, she addressed the nation to confess that she had two children, and repented for her "youthful indiscretions".
10. Prince Carl Philip of Sweden
The Swedish prince left his longtime girlfriend, who was a PR executive, and dated bikini model Sofia Hellqvist.
There was widespread criticism in Swedish media over his affairs.
