Once upon a time, the legends say, a little girl drowned in a canal surrounding an uninhabited island in Mexico.
Surrounded by severed heads, limbless bodies and with empty eye-sockets staring back at visitors from all directions, the Isla de las Munecas – The Island of Dolls – is one morbid place for a day out.
The island is covered with a hundred of dolls.
3. Door to Hell Noted for its natural gas fire, the doorway can be found in Turkmenistan.
The site was identified by Soviet scientists; the fire has been burning for 40 years.
Spiders are attracted to the spot and gather around the door to hell by the thousands.
4. Hellingly Hospital The creepy hospital in East Sussex, England is a real life insane asylum straight out of a horror movie.
It opened in 1903 and lobotomized and electrocuted it's patients for 90 years until it was finally shut down.
The building has been abandoned since 1994.
Every year, a few photographers are brave enough to visit Hellingly Hospital.
