New Delhi: A father in Yemen came up with a unique request from any man who wants to marry his daughter.
Salem Ayash, a poet from the city of Taiz, has demanded a million thumbs up to his Facebook page as a dowry for his daughter's hand though he hasn't outlined any deadline for fulfilling the demand.
However, that is rather a lot for a country with a population of about 24 million, and a far lower number of web users.
The unusual story has gone viral in Yemeni social media, with bloggers calling on people to help the couple get married. Many are accusing the poet for using the occasion to simply gain popularity.
