The attack on January 14, 2004 at the pedestrian, Erez crossing, Israel killed 4 people and injured 10.
The suicide bomber was a 22-year-old Palestinian mother of two named Reem al-Reyashi who originated from Gaza.
Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist militant organization deployed its first woman suicide bomber Reem al-Reyashi.
She came from a wealthy family and dreamt of turning her body into deadly shrapnel against the Zionists.
5. Bombing at aid centre in Pakistan
On December 25, 2010, a Burqa clad woman attacked an emergency food rations in Pakistan's terrorist-riddled tribal region bordering Afghanistan killing 45 people.
This was the first time a woman suicide attack had taken place in Pakistan. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
The victims belonged to the Salarzai tribe which is a major regional anti-Taliban tribe.
