Sex jihad, also known as Jihad-al-Nikah, is a latest fatwa or religious order allegedly given by Saudi Wahabi cleric Sheikh Mohamad al-Arifi in 2013 in the ongoing Syrian civil war.
This fatwa invited women cohorts to volunteer for sex jihad to provide battle comfort to the mujahideen fighting the Bashar al Assad rule in Syria.
