Islamabad: The bullet-riddled body of a kidnapped Pakistan Air Force officer was found in Balochistan province, media reported Thursday.
The officer was kidnapped along with four others Jan 4 from an area between provincial capital Quetta and Zhob district while they were coming from Islamabad, Dawn online reported.
The body with bullet wounds in the head was found Wednesday on the roadside in a village.
The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for abducting and killing the officer.
The kidnappers have released the driver of the car and a student, but there is no information about the other kidnapped people.
Balochistan Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani has identified the officer as Liaquat Ali Khan of Talagang area in Punjab.
Sources said a letter in which the TTP claimed responsibility for the killing was found in the officer's pocket.
