New Delhi: A woman rescued from a sex trafficking nightmare in Mexico has made a horrifying revelation.
Karla Jacinto, 23, has said that she was raped 43,200 times over the last 4 years.
She said that at least 30 people used to rape her everyday.
"Up to 30 men a day, seven days a week, for the best part of four years 43,200," she told 'The Independent'.
According the lady, she was abducted at an age of 12 by a 22-year-old trafficker, who promised her luxurious life and money.
Jacinto said that she lived with her trafficker for 3 months before being taken to Guadalajara, where she was forced to work as a prostitute.
"I started at 10am and finished at midnight. Some men would laugh at me because I was crying. I had to close my eyes so that that I wouldn't see what they were doing to me, so that I wouldn't feel anything," Jacinto told the newspaper
Highlighting the brutal realities of human trafficking, she further said that her trafficker used to beat her with a chain, punch her with his fists, kick her and spit at her face.
Jacinto, who was rescued in 2006 during an anti-trafficking operation, also claimed that a police operation to rescue girls was held at a hotel but the officers began filming the girls in compromising positions.
Jacinto, now an advocate against human trafficking, takes part in a series of protests and awareness campaigns against this social evil.
