Tokyo: Massive earth quake today jolted Japan in the late evening. The US geological survey said that the earthquake was of magnitude 7.8 and said to have epicenter in Chichi-shima, Bonin Islands of Japan.
This is Japan's offshore eastern area.
The officials however said that there is no Tsunami threat.
No untoward incident was reported so far.
