Rome, May 19: An official says a student has been killed and seven others have been wounded by the explosion of a device in a trash bin outside their vocational high school in southern Italy.
The device went off just before 8 a.m. in the Adriatic port town of Brindisi just as students were arriving for class Saturday.
Local civil protection official Fabiano Amati said a female student died of her wounds after being taken to a hospital and seven other students were hospitalized.
