Amman: Iraq has announced to provide oil assistance to Jordan worth $25 million, media reported.
The spokesperson for Jordanian minister of state for media affairs, Mohammed Al-Momani, said Tuesday the Iraqi council of ministers has decided to offer the assistance in the form of crude oil, Jordan news agency PETRA reported.
Al-Momani expressed the Jordanian government's appreciation for the Iraqi government stance.
He added that Jordan is looking forward to enhanced cooperation with Iraq, mainly through economic projects that serve the two countries, pointing to the oil pipeline project that will allow Iraq to export its oil through the Aqaba port and provide Jordan with part of its oil needs.
