Poorna belongs to a family of tribal farm labourers.
The JMC, which works for Dalit rights in Nepal, feted the two young climbers at a programme in the Nepalese capital, the Himalayan Times reported.
Upon the success of the young climbers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tweeted,
“Was very happy to read this. Congrats to our youngsters. They make us truly proud”.
