London: India has made dramatic improvement in an annual Asian universities ranking, with 10 educational institutions figuring in the top 100 list released here today.The Times Higher Education (THE) magazine's "Asia University Rankings-2014" named India as the most improved nation for increasing its tally from just three in 2013 to 10 this year. lets have a look over those top 10 instititions of India:
1) Panjab University is a public state university located in Chandigarh, Union Territory. The university has 75 teaching and research departments and 15 centres/chairs for teaching and research at the main campus located at Chandigarh. It has 188 affiliated colleges spread over Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh and Regional Centres at Muktsar, Ludhiana and Hoshiarpur.
The 65 departments, 15 centres/chairs on the campus and four regional centres are grouped under the faculties of Arts, Science, languages, law, education and Fine Arts, Business management and Commerce, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Most departments have their own libraries.
