New Delhi: Cricketer turned politician Imran Khan and his wife Reham Khan parted ways on October 30. Since then, barrages of speculative reports have been doing rounds with no revelation about reasons of divorce from either of the two.
According to the latest theory, Reham Khan was thinking of poisoning Imran Khan to grab his political empire. The dramatic report says that it acted as the last nail in the coffin and led Imran to divorce his wife of 10 months.
Journalist Arif Nizami's revealed this theory of attempted poisoning by citing the intelligence sources.
"Intelligence agencies conveyed to Imran through his close friends that Reham's intentions were not right. It was feared she could poison Imran to grab his party's reigns,'' he told Pakistan's News 24 channel.
The reason why Nizami's theory is getting weightage is his reputation of breaking inside stories and hollow out the truth.
He was the one who broke the news of Imran and Reham's marriage in December 2014. Also, last month he gave the scoop about the couple's falling relationship.
In the latest revelation, Nizami said that the divorce was not mutual and Reham had made Imran's life hell. He told that the couple had frequent fights and two days before the divorce Nizam was teaching Imran on how to operate his political outfit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
It was after that Reham was deliberately sent to London in lieu to attend a conference. When Imran sent the divorce notice to her through email, Reham was clueless.
He also revealed a shocking truth that traces of rodent poison were found in Imran's body when he fell ill and was admitted to a hospital after eating a laddoo.

Nizami claimed that Reham's relationship with Imran was based on lies and frauds. She lied about ‘domestic violence in her last marriage and it was she who used to beat her ex-husband and had even hit Imran.
Besides this, Reham is also been accused of taking money from PTI leaders to finance a film she was making.
As per him, Imran was so tired of her that he ignored the unfavourable political timing.
"Imran was so sick of her that he even ignored advice that he should wait for local bodies' election to get over to announce his divorce with Reham,'' he said.
Nizami also revealed that Imran was advice to not to marry Reham by a "non-political personality" and an ex-officer of "an institution'' involved in surveillance but he paid no heed.
However, seeing Nizami's revelation it is clear that it was Reham's ambition to grab fame and power through Imran's political throne that led to their divorce.
