The attack on a restaurant by one of the Paris killers during the carnage last Friday has been captured in spine-chilling CCTV footage.

The hip restaurant in the 11th district of Paris came under heavy gunfire for almost a minute before the killers moved on to their next target.

In the video published by the Daily Mail, one woman ducked underneath her table but the assassin spotted her and aimed his gun at her head from point-blank range.

She heard a clicking sound but no bullet came forth from the barrel of the AK47. The gun had jammed or run out of ammunition.

The killer then returned to the car and she fled from the scene.

There is also footage of a waitress who hid behind the bar and comforted a wounded female customer who fled there for safety.

Around 30 bullets were fired into the restaurant but incredibly all the diners and staff survived though some of them were injured.

However, five people outside the restaurant were killed in the rampage.

The ISIS terrorist responsible for the mayhem in the restaurant was the Belgian-born Salah Abdeslam who is on the run after managing to escape Paris.

He was detained later at the Franco-Belgian border but was allowed to continue into Belgium after a blunder by the police.
