NICE: An eight year old boy in France was interrogated by police for allegedly praising terrorists in his school. “The child triggered confusion when he refused to participate in a minute's silence at his school in remembrance of the victims of the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack which claimed 12 lives.” Said Marcel Authier, Public security in charge of the region.
The boy's teacher from his school also disclosed that the child expressed his solidarity with the terrorists.
Authier added, "In the current context, the principal of the school decided to report to police what had happened, but no complaint had been filed against the boy.” He further added “Obviously the child doesn't understand what he is saying”.
Meanwhile, the Police summoned the child and his father to try and comprehend how an eight year old boy could have such radical thoughts.
The boy's lawyer Sefen Guez Guez couldn't be contacted but , through his Twitter handle (@IbnSalah) he confirmed that the child indeed admitted to the police saying, “I am with the terrorists” but when asked what the word ”Terrorism” means he replied: “I don't Know” according to the tweet.
