Islamabad: A Pakistani anti-terrorism court on Saturday ordered the execution of a terrorist who had been sentenced to death on charges of killing three men in 1998.
Ahmed Ali alias Sheesh Naag will be hanged in New Central Jail at 6 a.m, Jan 7, The News International reported citing jail sources as saying.
The accused had sprayed a volley of bullets at a shop, killing three men in the year 1998. Ahmed Ali was affiliated with a banned outfit.
On Dec 17, Pakistan ended its moratorium on death penalty in terror-related cases, following a terrorist attack at the Army Public School in Peshawar Dec 16, in which Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants massacred 150 people, including 140 school children.
Seven convicts have been hanged so far in Pakistan after the moratorium on the death penalty was lifted.
