Karachi: A Pakistani court today reserved its judgement on a petition filed by former President Pervez Musharraf seeking the lifting of a ban on foreign travel by him.

Musharraf's counsel A Q Halepoto had requested the Sindh High Court to remove Musharraf's name from the Interior Ministry's Exit Control List as the former army chief wanted to go to Dubai to meet his ailing mother.

The High Court reserved its judgement on the plea after hearing arguments.

Halepoto said the government included 70-year-old Musharraf in the Exit Control List in view of a directive from the High Court.

Justice Sajjad Ali Shah said the court had not issued any orders for including Musharraf in list.

He told Halepoto to contact the government if he wished to get Musharraf's name struck off the list.

Musharraf has been granted bail in all four major cases against him, including one over the assassination of former premier Benazir Bhutto, but is now facing trial in a special court on a charge of high treason for imposing emergency in 2007.

The special court has summoned the former military ruler to appear before it on December 24.
