Caracas, July 02: Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez says he will meet with members of his Cabinet in Cuba to review government programs while recovering after surgery for a cancerous tumor.
Chavez says he plans to meet with his ministers of agriculture, energy and science Saturday. He says they will discuss some of the government's agriculture projects among other issues.
Chavez made the announcement to Cuban state television in a telephone interview Friday night. He said that he is optimistic he will recover and that his illness “is going to strengthen us.” AP
