New Delhi : Saying that efforts were being made to change the way India viewed Canada, officials from the North American country yesterday stressed on its potential as a destination for higher studies for Indian students.
“India looks at Canada from a natural resource perspective, but we are trying to convince people that Canada is a great academic destination for Indian students where they can learn and bring that knowledge back to India.
“I think we are beginning to succeed in those efforts,” Canadian High Commissioner to India, Stewart Beck, said. Efforts are on to change how India perceives Canada and a lot of that is based on the type of economic relationship which the two countries can build, Beck added.
Collaboration and participation in international projects was central to Canada's long-term growth aims, Beck revealed. “These collaborations are achieving cutting-edge results, pushing the boundaries of science, knowledge and creating new, innovative technologies.
