A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers led by Kailash Vijayvargiya met West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at Raj Bhavan, demanding CBI inquiry into the death BJP councillor Manish Shukla, who was shot dead in front of Titagarh Police Station yesterday. BJP MP Arjun Singh said, "We have requested Governor to immediately refer the case to CBI so that the culprits can be punished. Governor has assured us help." 

250 new COVID-19 cases, 129 recoveries and 1 death reported in Manipur today. Total positive cases now at 12,105, including 2,696 active cases, 9,334 recoveries & 75 deaths till date. Recovery rate is 77.10 %. 

Karnataka reported 7,051 new COVID-19 cases, 7,064 discharges and 84 deaths today, taking total cases to 6,47,712 including 5,22,846 discharges and 9,370 deaths. The number of active cases stands at 1,15,477. 

Mumbai recorded 1,813 new COVID-19 cases and 47 deaths today, taking the number of active cases to 24,199 and death toll to 9,152. 

17 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Sikkim in the past 24 hours. One more death was reported today, taking the total tally to 46. 

29 deaths and 1,460 fresh COVID-19 cases reported in Madhya Pradesh today. The total number of positive cases in the state is now 1,37,098 including 18,757 active cases, 1,15,878 recoveries and 2,046 deaths. 

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh appealed to the farmers to relax their ongoing 'Rail Roko' protest to allow goods trains to pass-through.

Jharkhand reported 816 new COVID-19 cases, 1284 recoveries and 4 deaths today, taking total cases to 88,026   including 76,843 recoveries, 747 deaths and 10,436 active cases. 

Gujarat reported 1,327 new COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths today. Total cases in the state rise to 1,44,027, including 1,23,770 discharges and 3,512 deaths. Number of active cases now at 1,6745.

2,165 new COVID-19 cases and 14 deaths reported in Rajasthan today. The total number of positive cases rises to 1,46,195 including 21,215 active cases, and 1,559 deaths. 

Haryana reported 1,031 COVID-19 cases, 1,255 recoveries and 21 deaths today, taking total cases to 1,34,909 with 1,21,596 recoveries, 1,491 deaths and 11,822 active cases. 

1,062 new COVID-19 cases and 38 deaths have been reported in Punjab today, taking the total number of cases to 1,19,186 including 12,897 active cases and 3,641 deaths. 

Chandigarh reported 133 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of cases to 12,578 including 1,673 active cases, 177 deaths and 10,797 cured cases. 

Former BJP MLA Yogesh Tilekar, four BJP corporators, and some party workers have been arrested by Pune city Police for vandalising the office of water supply department of Pune Municipal Corporation. They have been sent to judicial custody by a court in Pune. 

The total number of COVID-19 cases in Himachal Pradesh is 16,033 including 3,156 active, 12,633 recoveries and 219 deaths. 

MagFast Beverages won battle against PepsiCo to use trademark 'Mountain Dew'. MagFast Beverages Chairman said, "In 2000, we started selling packaged drinking water named 'Mountain Dew'. In '03, Pepsi Co launched a soft drink under the same name. Now, court has dismissed their claims."

19 new COVID-19 cases reported in Dharavi area of Mumbai today, taking the total number of cases to 3,258 including 185 active cases and 2,781 discharges. 

Mizoram reported 30 new recovered COVID-19 cases today. The total positive cases stand at 2,120, including 1,837 discharges, 283 active cases & no COVID death till date in the state. 

Delhi reported 1,947 new COVID19 cases, 3,588 recoveries/discharges/migrations and 32 deaths today. Total number of cases rise to 2,92,560 including  2,63,938 recoveries/discharges/migrations and 5,542 deaths. Active cases stand at 23,080. 

Kerala recorded 5,042 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours. There are 84,873 active cases in the state and 1,49,111 people have recovered from the infection till date. 

Himachal Pradesh recorded 17 new COVID-19 positive cases today, taking the total cases in the state to 15,909 including 3,147 active cases, 12,521 recoveries and 216 deaths. 

Tamil Nadu reported 5,395 new COVID-19 cases, 5,572 recoveries and 62 deaths today, taking total positive cases to 6,25,391, including 5,69,664 discharged cases, 9,846 deaths and 45,881 active cases. 

127 police personnel tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours and 1 died, taking total positive cases to 24,150 in the force including 21,179 recoveries, 2,720 active cases, and 251 deaths. 

The CBI is still conducting its investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput's death. As a minister of the Indian government, I would not like to present any of my observations in this matter until the CBI probe is completed & a report published
