Boston blasts: Story of bravery as man, who lost son in Iraq war, helped victims seconds after terror attack

The Costa Rican immigrant used his clothes and towels to stop the victims from bleeding.



Hailed by the local media as a hero, Arredondo helped one victim, who lost both his legs and was drenched in blood, into a wheelchair that the marathon medical staff had brought, and he says, he kept talking to the man so he wouldn't lose consciousness.

‘I kept talking to him. I kept saying, “Stay with me, stay with me,”' Arredondo, who is a member of the Red Cross disaster team, told Maine Today.
